Clove Essential Oil
Along with cinnamon, clove oil makes up the other half of your typical autumnal bouquet. It also has the highest ORAC rating, meaning no single natural ingredient can compete with its antioxidant potency. This is important of course, as oxidation leads to cell-damaging free radicals.
When applied to the skin, clove oil stimulates the joints as well as the lymphatic and circulatory system, neutralizing the pain of throbbing nerves. This is the main reason why you tend to see it in dental care products. Simply sniffing cloves can help increase libido and clear your mind of unwanted thoughts, which is why we all tend to get so happy when we smell the "scents of fall."
You can make a potpourri with clove, cardamom, ginger, cinnamon and orange with dried plant parts and herbs and the essential oils...divine! Just refresh when the aroma gets a little soft. As with all spice oils it has been employed to help support the digestive system and to aid in digestive complaints.
Safety and contra-indications: Clove is extremely potent and is way too strong to be used neat (undiluted with a carrier), and should never be used in more than a .5 % dilution. Other oils listed above can be added to it to dilute it as well.
About our Clove Essential Oil
Child Safety: Not for use on children or babies at all.
Suggested use: It is an amazing cleaner for surfaces, especially in the bathroom and kitchen, and can be great at sanitizing surfaces. Only a little dab will do ya, it is so strong that only a few drops are needed. Mix with tea tree, lemon and eucalyptus for a powerful cleaner. Use gloves with this one when you clean! Keep away from babies, children and pets.
Blends well with: peppermint, clary sage, cypress, spruce, fir, pine, eucalyptus, helichrysum, lavender, orange, lemon, grapefruit, vetiver, cypriol, petitgrain, bergamot, clary sage, lavender, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, vanilla and coriander.
Take care: Do not apply without a carrier such as jojoba, bath salts or any unscented product like lotion or shampoo. Do not use with infants and children without instruction, and if so at a greatly diluted ratio of .5% or less. The recommendation for topical use is from 3 to 5 % for most people. However, take care if you are elderly or are ill. If you have a reaction to it, stop using and immediately contact a medical professional. Not for internal use unless under the guidelines of an aromatherapist. Remember that essential oils and absolutes are 75 to 100 times stronger than the plant they come from, so they are very different than an herbal or other natural preparation.
Your Clove Essential Oil comes in Protective 10ml Amber (UV Blocking) glass essential oil bottle. European Dropper Cap included for easier dispensing.
